If You Only Knew

If you only knew how brave you are

Photo by Leandro Barbosa on Pexels.com

you would not bow your head to slander

you would not make pain your normal

you would not silence for comfort

you would not put yourself last

If you only knew how capable you are

you would take on that job

sing that song or dance

you would ask that question

without fear of the answer

If you only knew how much room there is

you would take up space

wish everyone well

you would be abundant and give

you would overflow

but you must know yourself

to know how brave and capable you are

to step into any room and shine

Celebrate Anyway

Photo by Polina Kovaleva on Pexels.com

when someone is happy

some are happy for them, some are not

some mean well, some are just mean

some congratulate, some discriminate

some wish you the best, some wish at best

when someone is happy, the ones who are sincere

will be happy and cheer

some will pretend, then just wait for you to clear

your job is not to change people, or yourself

your job is to learn the difference

in some

celebrate anyway

Winding Roads

Winding Roads

Keeping scores

sometimes sores

sometimes shallow words

they turn left and right

sometimes dead ends

sometimes one way

the weather affects visibility

for some blinding

but driving through

is like a baby walking

the more you do, the more you can see

through the fog

Gratitude Liberates

Gratitude Permeates

Through the nothing works for me

Or the perception of a “bad day”

It is a sour solemn moment after all

Not a Day

Gratitude Liberates

Through the engulfing of labeled bad streaks

Through the realization of so many peaks reached

You realize it is not breached perception

A descending constipation

But instead a permeable liberation

To appreciate what actually is

Because Gratitude Liberates

Abundantly

Experience or Resilience

Experience or Resilience

Experience is going through something

Learning the Lesson, Reaping the Blessing

Resilience is overcoming, not undermining

The Struggle

The fact that it was never easy

Be Resilient, but far most important

Learn from the Experience

so you never repeat the pattern of struggle

again.

Life Cycles Until

Photo by Korhan Erdol on Pexels.com

I cried, I mourned, I fell, I failed, I bled

until I had nothing left in me

I laughed, I celebrated, I got up, I succeded, I grew, I learned

because I gave myself no other choice

Now I pause, I look up, and I am Thankful

for the lessons, the blessings, the detours, the pathways

the failures, the successes.

Life Cycles, the living rollercoaster

until we become

like modeling clay

not fitting in, simply shape-shifting

Today is All You Have Until Tomorrow

The past holds history, memories, references, experiences

wisdom, knowledge, information, ancestry

The present becomes the past with each word, interaction, experience,

We create the future in the present with each choice

We refer to the past, to ground our present, and look into the future

You only have today, to reference, to live, experience, and feel,

You only have today to build your own future

Each day, you only have today

What you create is up to you, each day

Permeability of a Moment

Photo by Hamann La on Pexels.com

Despair is a moment, not a lifetime

Pain is a moment, not a life sentence

Sadness is fleeing, not meant for permanence

Inability until you are able

to work on your success

your vitality restored

your happiness and joy are permeable

your life is always a moment

you don’t get to choose the moments

you get to choose how long to stay in each
